The last Comic Book Project i ever tried to do....

It's got to the point now that people dont realise i'm a comic book artist. It has been SO long since i've drawn a comic book that people just haven't seen this side of me.

Whilst digging through some old folders in the attic i came across the 'Jakull' project. It was to be the last Comic book project i tried to work on a the end of my collage days before i got a job in design. It would appear then that Working as a graphics designer has killed off my Comic book projects.

So here for you all to see is the into pages to a comic series called 'Jakull' about a teenager who discovers he is infact a dog creature called a Jakull. He learns that these jakulls are left overs from a great ancient battle and are now expected to serve as slaves to the Master. of course he does not step in line and refuses to believe his future is simply that of being a dog. After a while he teams up with some interesting characters and fight evil and all that nonsense :)

OUTLORE 2009!

So yet again a year hath gone by. It's interesting how this event marks for me the turning of a new year as the Beltaine fire is lit, so starts another year hopes and dreams.

Anyway the event! was amazing. It had a strange feeling to it mainly i think due to the fact this was an ending of a great story that has been unfolding for 7 years. Because there was to be a great battle against a monster who would enslave everyone, there was not much to celebrate. And once Balor was defeated, there was a celebration, but with a sting in its tail. The High King who had for 7 years lead the free races against the forces of Balor had to be releaved of his position in a ritual that would see his throat cut, hands nailed to a tree and gut spilled onto the floor. As great an honor that was for the character, it was sad to see happen with so many memories of being twatted to the floor by his sword and shield over the past 7 years.

But overall it was a most memorable event, one that i will no doubt be telling new generations of crew about in future.
All eyes look towards the next event wondering what now shall happen now that the threat of Balor and the Leadership of the Ard Ri are no more.....
