Video of the WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE video game

Ok so October is going to be a mad month for me. I shall spreading the gospel of Where the wild things are. Not only will i be going to see the film probably more than once with a number of good friends, but there will also be a game out for the wii and other formats as is standard for kids films these days.

Here is a video of said video game tie in. So far it looks nice and simple and fun which is what i want from a game. I dont like games that make me think real hard. As an example i have been playing Narnia Prince caspian that i got free from my mate Andrew. It's kinda kool, nice graphics and action. But im now stuck on a level i cant get passed and so yawn, im bored....

Been to see Ice Age in 3D!!!!

Yesterday went to Exeter with some of the Crew. Most are upset at the cancellation of the Big Green Gathering due to excessive red tape which they hoped to go to this weekend. So a visit to the cinema to watch a film in 3D was in order to raise spirits.

Was a rather spiffing film and we got to keep the glasses. Each Ice Age film seems to stand well on it's own, i cant really decide which i like most as there are things i like about all 3. Ice Age 3 will entertain you just as much as the other two so is worth watching.

Upon leaving the cinema we headed to the Boston Tea party and eat large amounts of food and drank tea while Chris moaned about how nasty a place it was. Then it was a quick walk in the park before i had to catch the train home in time fore Desperate Romantics on BBC HD.

Yes it was a good day.

Dumnonni July!

Back in the field outside Hatherliegh hopeing the rain would hold off, and it did. Saturday saw a blistering hot day at Dumnonni. Both nights had clear skis by the camp fire. It's the one place i can see the milkyway belt streak across the sky.

The usual bunch was there and i was surprised to see Crofty as a player again. Everyone was just back from holidays in various countries except Pippin who was still in france.

The plot was good from what i made out. Had to play a dwarf which surprisingly everyone thought i was too tall for! Eventually on Sunday the rain came in and made it harder to keep the energy levels up. Another great event even if it did finish a bit damp. Now there is over a month before next event in septemeber but it's been an amazing year of Larp so far.

Is that the Ghost of the Ard Ri hovering above the camp fire!???

Visit to Whiteboys

Jay invited me over two weeks ago. Brought a couple DVD's to watch and the Camera to film his ever improving Drumming skills. He says seeing the videos allows him to see where improvements can be made in his skills. I'm still editing the videos so expect to see some more of Jays amazing drumming talents soon.

Something else that took me by surprise was his choice of not drinking alcohol. Instead i brought down herbal tea witch we drank loads of. His girlfriend is in Canada at the moment so we stayed up untill like 3am waiting for her to come online so they could chat.

Jay also expressed his talents in cooking!

Where the Wild things Are Featurette!!!!!

oh glorious times!, just got back from Dumnonni larp to be greeted by a wonderful featurette about the Where the wild things are Film coming out in october. It wonderfully shows how this film is trying to capture the books strange and sometimes controversal concepts and also its indy qualities. It's going to be a small and lovable film, not a big huge FX film.
